A symbol for the heart

Just about every great cause has a symbol, whether it’s a bracelet, a necklace or a simple ribbon. So this year for Heart Month in February, we set out to create our own symbol for Indianapolis Goes Red For Women—something supporters could proudly display to show their commitment to fighting heart disease in women.

But we weren’t looking for just anyone to create it. We wanted this symbol to be special, so we searched carefully to find an artist with the spirit and talent to create something meaningful. And when we discovered artist Jill Duzan, we knew right away that she was the right woman for the job.

Jill’s fondness of nature and appreciation for a woman’s natural beauty shows in the jewelry she creates. Sterling Silver adorned with semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls and even fossils are just some of the unique elements that make each one of Jill’s pieces special. And the Go Red For Women bracelet is no exception.

The Go Red For Women bracelet is a Sterling Silver, double-chain bracelet with a vibrant Ruby and Citrine drop—a subtle but beautiful reminder of the importance of the wearer’s heart. Citrine is traditionally thought to blend energy for strength and protection, while Ruby is known as the “Stone of Passion” that brings vitality and wisdom to the wearer.

Over the past 10 years, Jill has given to various women’s causes, including St.Vincent Women of Hope, the Women Like Us Foundation and of course, Go Red For Women. And we can’t thank her enough for her work and commitment to women’s causes. To show your support for the fight against heart disease in women, get the Go Red For Women bracelet at JillDuzan.com.
